Shopping in Taiwan is different from what I am used to in Australia. There are malls and department stores, but they all seem expensive to me. I prefer the street markets - here's a popular clothing market in Kaohsiung, Taiwan called Xinjuejiang:

Xinjuejiang starts pumping after 3 pm when students are finished class. It is a popular place for young people to hang out and so the fashion is typically aimed at the younger age group.
